  • I Want To Be A Women of Strength

Please, Lord, help me to be a woman of strength

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape...

but a woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything...

but a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.

A strong woman won't let anyone get the best of her..

but a woman of strength gives the best of her to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future...

but a woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be God's blessing and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman walks sure footedly...

but a woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls.

A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face...

but a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey...

but a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong

We've seen this one before.. But I needed the reminder.

It is in my weakness that I am made strong.

2Co 12:9  But [the Lord] replied (to Paul), "My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak." So if Christ keeps giving me his power, I will gladly brag about how weak I am.

2Co 12:10  Yes, I am glad to be weak or insulted or mistreated or to have troubles and sufferings, if it is for Christ. Because when I am weak, I am strong.

I really like this!  It's very pretty, and dead on!

Thank you for the comment as well!  I hadn't really thought about the Jacob's ladder thing, but that's a cool observation!

I've seen this, as well, and so true ... I have yet to attain the status of 'a strong woman' ... I fall short in that area, but I'm thankful that God is teaching me, showing me, how to be 'a woman of strength' ... thank you for this reminder, that in weakness we are truly made strong, and thank you for dropping by ... I just subscribed so I won't miss any more of your entries here, I thought I had last week. Have a blessed weekend. <><

This is a beautiful reminder of what women should be striving for.
